Our Project

OBJECTIVES:

Simulation provides health care students with opportunities to practice their clinical and decision-making skills through various real-life situational experiences. The project will provide our group of teachers and students with simulation package tools; selected simulation scenarios with real actors to help increase their ability to cope with an increasingly violent healthcare environment and foster a safe environment for patients and staff.

ACTIVITIES:

Nursing and paramedic studies requires complex combinations of knowledge, performance, skills and attitudes to provide care to the patients. Our activities will help in developing self-confidence among students by helping students to make the link between theory and practical and increase their ability to deal with violence. As a result of role playing, it will help in the development of critical thinking by students and teachers (to understand how simulation can help them).

RESULTS:

The project will create a simulation scenarios package for the teachers training  the students.

  • The package will include various simulation scenarios for teachers and students of nursing and paramedic students on an elearning platform,
  • Manual for training the teachers of nursing and paramedic students for simulation education,
  • A train the trainer course for supporting teachers who are responsible for education nursing and paramedic programmes.
