Characters

Nurse: A trainee nurse who must handle the agitated patient.

Nurse: A middle-aged man who is frustrated and refusing care.

Background

The patient was admitted due to a severe infection but has been inconsistent with taking prescribed medications, leading to an incomplete recovery.

He is now agitated, complaining about the hospital's poor quality of care, lack of progress in his treatment.

He wants to leave the hospital against medical advice (AMA), but his current condition makes it potentially dangerous.

Setting

A hospital room with basic furnishings: a bed, medical chart and personal belongings some packed in a bag, some lying around.
